New types of swords

Most of the swords that are used in battle are just standard swords with little or no elegance used mostly for killing the enemy than for decoration.

Usually the most elegant swords are just ornamental but some of the swords like za roc and brisingr from eragon are really strong because they are forged by elves and do not need the properties that a sword used in battle would.

one of my favorite swords is the sword I think is called vaelin it is not adorned with any jewels but the crossguard is curved in the shape of a dragon claw and a leaf shaped blade. on the pommel is a dragon or demon's head.

Swords from movies.

There have been a lot of swords in movies. whether they are of great significance or of little significance at all. So lets take a closer look at what they really are.

first of all there are swords that have powers those including excaliber from king arthur or glamdring from lord of the rings.
most of them include powers such as being able to kill the dead or glow in the presence of evil.

there have been other such swords that have no power at all but are just plain and simple swords that have won many battles. such as the celtic sword.

my favourite sword out of all the movies I have seen would have to be za roc from eragon the blade is bright red and the crossguard is the shape of a drogon.
